about us
OUR MISSION
Design at Brown is a group of passionate students interested in advancing curriculum, information, and opportunities for students interested in design. We aim to consolidate design resources on and off-campus by being a forum for connecting students, offering mentorship, and representing collective interests at an administrative level.
Regardless of your experience, prior learning, or skills, design belongs across mediums and disciplines. If you’re interested in pursuing design, we want to help you define design for yourself.
OUR HISTORY
This organization stems from long discussions over the difficulties and inaccessibility of pursuing design as a course of study at Brown. Through those conversations, we realized that Brown had a lot of resources and potential for being a hub to study design but required a piece of thread to string those resources together. Thus, Design at Brown was formed to perform as that thread.
